Publication: The Social Observatory Final Report

                          Dear All,

At a time of crucial changes for the postal sector, the SDC decided to conduct an ambitious project: the Social Observatory of the postal sector.

This project was successfully carried out in 2009 and covered 9 EU Member States. It was a unique opportunity to raise the awareness of all  relevant stakeholders of the social impact of the accelerating evolution which makes change unavoidable.

Faced with common challenges, especially the decrease of the mail volume, the postal operators need to adapt. Major social transformations are taking place and it is our conviction that a high quality social dialogue is key to handle them and promote fair working conditions in the sector.

We are pleased today to publish the final report of the project. Download the report
